Great place to grab lunch. Their empanadas and fries are delicious. I tried the steak meal and a few of their sandwiches and everything is made well with high quality ingredients. The staff are professional and friendly. The place's atmosphere is nice as well with a polo/equestrian vibe.

My observational review:
I just left Cilantro's...
When I walked in, there were a very few people eating (10am ish), by the time I leggy (11am), the café was getting busy.
It took a while for someone to notice I was waiting mainly bc everyone was in the kitchen. Nidia (she's a lovely person), told me the food was cooked on the premises.
I'll tell you I'm not a big fan of Latin food. It may be the lard, or whatever the food's cooked in, or perhaps the desserts are so sweet (Carmel is in most every pastry), and the coffee is quite to strong for this gringo!
But I tried. I liked the spinach empanada bc the dough didn't have that rancid flavor of lard, and the spinach had a decent texture.
What stood out for me was the clientele; quiet conversations when I first arrived with one person talking loud enough to hear his business dealing- only a few hundred thousand... but the next guy who arrived was loud, obviously from NY, and talked in millions. Was I impressed? No. I'm a Floridian- the buying and selling (there's been a lot of construction- destruction throughout the state), without regulation is way out of hand, imho... the planet IS getting hotter, and those who know are getting ready to flee in droves- to northern climes by car, or on rocketships!
But I digress... cilantro's could use a little Feng shui... the cold case of pre packaged drinks are hidden from anyone by the register and kitchen- very tempting for children to cause mischief!
The tables- some uncomfortably high, could use some rearranging.
Freddo's (within the restaurant), looks useless. Taking up space unnecessarily- there's nothing in the case to sell, so why is it there?

Otherwise, the location is really sweet if you enjoy of the main highway, bucolic surroundings!

It's not the kind of place
for my taste,
but I'm glad I got to stop by
and try for
my
self.

Review from last week:
My review of the reviews!
1. I don't like cilantro, the herb, and wouldn't have given this place a second thought if not for the reviews. It's 3:30 am...
2. I'm gonna be in the area on Friday
3. The reviews (bad ones) were written by students, mostly- and have a LOT of truth to them, bc hey!, they're kids! I only wish the owner/ operator/ patrons/ staff persons would've used it as a teaching moment- kids need an adult perspective- a conversation- not a side eye, nor unkind word- NOR silence!
Imho, the award goes to the review written by the guy who got "pelted with pebbles" lmao!

Hey, bad reviews, like bad publicity, peaks one's interest - especially mine!
Now then, what should I try that's not too expensive?
Empanadas? Sounds perfect!
Vegetarian Omelet (I'll check it before I leave)!
Coffee - ? if it's Latin style, it'll be too much (I'm a "coffee flavored milk" coffee drinker).
Oh, and as for the grumpy guy who doesn't wear gloves- I'll ask him nicely, or not order anything handmade...with food ?, and ask him how he's feeling,...OK? (Not necessarily in that order)...

Note: This, an exercise in kindness- it's all about the conversation!
You're welcome!

I'll return for an updated (food) review... until then, have a great many days (ONE isn't enough!)?❤️

I called to see if it would be okay to host a networking event at the coffee shop...meaning inviting other people. I called and when I mentioned that I was a realtor, I was hung up on. There are several people in my group who have never heard of Cilantros, but I don't know if I will host my event here now.

Well, it's a place that I usually visit for breakfast because I like the place where it's located, which brings me a lot of peace in the mornings. The food they sell and the coffee and café con leche are very good and they have a variety of excellent sweets. I recommend this place as an excellent place.

Today Feb 15th I stopped into Cilantro’s to buy a sandwich for the road. After all of the reviews of how great the food was I was shocked by what I received for the $16 I paid for my tuna wrap. The wrap was extremely thin and barely had any tuna in it. I also couldn’t believe the amount of students that were crowding the front door and the entire restaurant. This has been an on going issue for years that has not been resolved by the county, city or school board. The staff was very short with me and I could not place my order without a child screaming or bumping into me. I feel that my money could have better spent else where.

A terrible place!!
I went there today with my family. It was our first time and we had a bad experience.
First, we ordered plates, a hamburger, a flank steak with rice and a chicken parmigiana sandwich.
When ordering, we checked what the ingredients were described in the hamburguer (Lettuce, tomato, bacon and cheese with fries.), as described in the restaurant's menu.
The hamburg came with mayonnaise and the entraña tasted HORRIBLE, meat and the rice. They were inedible.
The smell and taste of the meat was that of LIVER STEAK, which was supposed to be flank steak. We said to an attendant about the problems with the foods and he very ironic answered us smiling “I'm so sorry!” and said that all sandwiches come with mayonnaise and this is written on the menu. I ORDERED A BURGER, NOT A SANDWICH. And the specification of the burger ingredients does NOT include mayonnaise. He insisted saying that the information was on the menu and I told him that it was IN THE WRONG PLACE, because where the burger is described, it doesn't say that it comes with mayonnaise. And about the entraña, he said it was top class meat from America. As if we don't know what high-class meat is. But in the end, he said he could bring us new dishes or a ice cream for my daughter but we thanked him and said he didn't need it, since because of all that, our hunger had gone away. When we were in the parking lot, we saw him looking at us, laughing, talking to another customer talking about our situation that had happened. We realized how discriminants and unpolite they were. My husband returned to the establishment and from what it seems to me, the employee who was laughing turned was a little scared… Now he had stopped laughing and even offered us two tubs of ice cream. Even though they “redeemed” themselves through two ice creams, I come to leave my NO RECOMMENDATION for this terrible place.
