The classic mom and pop shop is a staple in America, this Egyptian spot is the epitome of finding exactly that. One bite into their food and it’s as if you landed in Egypt and your mom handed you a plate of her food. I was beyond shocked of the quality and taste that burst out of each bite. This is not your typical dine in spot as they have but 4 tables but if you want to taste what it’s like being in Egypt this place is for you. The owner and his wife operate daily and are off mondays and leave at 4….I was able to strike a conversation with them as I had to give them rave reviews on their food. If you ever wanted truly authentic tasting middle eastern food then run here don’t walk. The name of the place throws you off and leads you to believe you’ll walk away disappointed. Let’s turn that doubt around

The gentlemen at the front was very kind and helpful. I got beef shwarma and it was simply delicious! Fries could’ve used a little more salt, but they were also very good!

He even gave me a complimentary tea (that was delicious)!

I will definetly be back! This place is wonderful!

The food was SENSATIONAL. I had the Chicken Shawarma which had a deep and complex flavor. The garlic sauce that came with it was very good. The staff were very hospitable. The only reason why I deducted a star was because of the atmosphere. You don’t feel entirely comfortable sitting down because it feels kind of thrown together. That doesn’t bother me because it seems to only be run by family. All I care about is how amazing the food is.

I had an incredible dining experience at this restaurant! The Koshari was flavorful and authentic, packed with perfectly balanced spices. The Mombar was a delicious treat, and the Hawawshi had just the right amount of crisp and seasoned filling. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic Egyptian cuisine!”

This is one of the best restaurants I’ve visited in the States. My family and I went twice, and both times were exceptional.
During our first visit for dinner, we enjoyed grape leaves, stuffed cabbage, and mombar as starters, all of which were freshly made and delicious. For our main courses, we tried the lamb shank (fata style - off menu) and grilled whole chicken on yellow rice topped with fried raisins and nuts. We ended the meal with a delightful Basbousa dessert.

On our second visit for lunch, we tried the beef liver (Kebbda) sandwiches Egyptian style and Hawawshee, which were freshly made and bursting with incredible flavors. The food was genuinely authentic Egyptian and incredibly delicious.

The owner, Essam (Abu Ahmad), was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and made us feel at home. His wife, the cook, was also very kindhearted. They offer off-menu items and catering, so it's a good idea to call in advance for a unique experience. I can't wait to return whenever I'm back in the area.

This was a surprise little place … affordable and great tasting food .., the family platter is great for like 5 people.. the sauces options are good and definitely a try… the meats were so soft that they melt in your mouth. The grape leaves are good compared to the cabbage ones … and the chicken skewers are a definite try !!!

Easily the most flavorful meal I’ve ever had. I got the kofta, I had never tried it before an am so glad I did. The food is incredible, the people working were so nice, I think he may have been the owner. It’s a cozy little restaurant.
