Cozy atmosphere, terrific brunch options, astonishingly delicious dinners. Good selection of wines. Well-made coffee. I wish I could return more often. For the tourists, this is an easily accessible location by tram, just a 5-minute walk from Newhaven stop. For the locals, oh how I envy you that you can go to La Cime when you wish.

10 out of 10, I can't believe I haven't been here sooner, a stone throw away from our flat. We have just had the most amazing dinner this evening. Delicious flavours, superb wine and excellent service. Plus lovely wines and other gorgeous treats for sale, not to forget to mention, the fabulous bakery treats for the daytime cafe ? 100% recommend and can't wait to return.

I was on the hunt for brunch or lunch in Leith and the first place I tried had a wait of over an hour for a table. Despite the rain, I decided to walk to this place nearby and try my luck again.

And I was lucky. There was one small table free. The place was full of happy people, many with families. It's a fairly small café and there are only a handful of tables so it's really just about timing. Very cozy space.

The menu is small but nicely diverse, and takes British staples and raises them up a bit. I decided on the egg and beans on toast, a special favourite of mine. I was pleasantly surprised with all the seasoning and the housemade baked beans. Nothing from a tin here. The sourdough bread was delicious.

I would be very tempted to try their harissa fried eggs as they seem to have a particularly good command of Middle Eastern and North African seasonings. Great to see in little indie cafes like this. It's different, and very appreciated. So many people seemed to be ordering that.

The cappuccino was satisfactory. Not the best one as it was a bit watery for my taste, but when the food is so good, the coffee is just a bonus. The coffee beans themselves were very nice and it had good flavour.

I ended up buying a bag of coffee they sell there. Really enjoyed it at home as well.

I'm actually glad the other brunch place was full. This is a great little hidden gem for breakfast and lunch.

Excellent spot for brunch with friendly service and great atmosphere. Small but interesting menu plus plenty of cakes, tarts etc. behind the counter. The homemade juice was delightful and the coffee was top notch.

Really delightful new cafe. Small good menu but lots of cake, deli, and pastry options! The potato cheese scone was melt-in-your-mouth delish. The chai latte was super cardamom-y and I really loved it. Will be back to try some other delights!

Another great cafe in this area serving excellent dishes. The owners couldn't have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful. We had a delicious breakfast here and were disappointed that they closed the following day. They recommended another restaurant to try and that too was great. Thanks and we will be recommending both places to others. Will certainly return.

This place is a slice of Frenchy heaven in the middle of leafy Trinity/Newhaven. Used to rent a flat round the corner but alas this was a junk food tuck shop at that time. Sigh. Will be making trips across town back here just to frequent this gem of a cafe. Everything we had was spectacular: the coffee, croque monsieur, sausage roll and frittata. Decor is divine and they sell lots of their own products and other delicacies. They do brunchy things but also evening meals on weekends. Just perfect!
