Don’t understand the rave reviews of this place. The meat looked bad. The cold cuts are all pre-sliced so you can’t get it cut how you want. And yeah the prices on items are cheap but thats because its all about to expire or already has expired. No thanks. Place is gross. All for shopping locally but not risking my or my family’s health just to save a couple bucks.

Not happy at all with my last experience today. I was overcharged for quite a few items. I call and talk to a manager and she explains the girl working for her knows the prices and asked me to check my groceries. She puts me on hold to talk to the cashier and for me to look to see if I had anything for the stated price. I told her nothing on my receipt for the prices they were. I explained I could bring my groceries back and my receipt to show her the difference I am owed. She explains again the girl she has working knows the prices and the cashiers excuse was that I got alot of groceries and she never attempted to apologize or try to make it right by any means and said there's nothing they can do since I had left the store. I feel like I was called a liar. I was just trying to be honest especially so that it doesnt happen to anyone else. Even after telling her I could bring everything back I just got home to bring my groceries in, they were still in the trunk when I called.

They have a lot of different stuff..some things are kind of scratch and dent.. but their meat counter is awesome..they sell til they run out.. but it's good meat at very good prices..and deli salads, deli meat sliced, and sliced cheeses..

First time at Stites Grocery. I kept hearing about the meat counter and needed to check this place out. Not your typical grocery, but I felt like they offered a good variety for their prices. You can get some really good deals on things, but the meat counter is what really draws the crowd. Awesome prices on fresh cut meat. I've been told that some days they sell the meat counter out before the store closes. That's probably why they have the hours they do. I'm pretty sure it said they open at 10 am and close at 5 or 6 pm. If you've never been there and you're in the area and they're open... You should pop in and check them out!

7/15/2024-I haven't been here in ages since I don't live in Lima anymore, but my Mom & sister come here on a semi-regular basis. They're always telling me about the great deals they find here, so I'll have to stop in, the next time I'm in town.

On 2 occasions they've told me about how friendly & professional Ryan has been. On 7/13, he'd asked them how they'd been & my Mom mentioned her recent medical diagnosis to him. He said some encouraging words to her & gave her a hug. This was so kind of him to do & very much appreciated!

Incredible values for the money. Watch yer date bodes, for parties, functions, emergency stocks but again watch the date codes. .20-30 cents on the dollar.

This place has the best meat around. I live about 45 minutes away but it is worth the trip a couple times a month.
