Absolutely loved this place! It’s truly one of San Antonio's hidden gems. Tucked perfectly between Brackenridge Park and the Witte Museum, and right on the way to downtown, it’s super convenient and a total vibe! I’ve eaten at similar spots across the country, but nothing quite compares to the food, service, and atmosphere here.

My go-to? The "Pick Two" combo. Their garden-fresh salads are vibrant and crisp, and the 12-grain, lightly toasted BLT on a bed of greens is just perfection. And dessert—oh, the dessert! I’m always torn between a cookie and a cupcake, and honestly, I wish I could have both.

Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this place is a must-visit. Impeccable food meets exceptional service here—don’t miss out!

Every time I visit- I try something different and I am never disappointed. Today I had the cranberry walnut chicken salad sandwich and the pasta salad. It was so delicious! And I absolutely love the energy of the person who took our order 🙂 full of kindness and fun ! This place is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

The sandwich that I had (Chicken Chipotle Parmesan) was recommended by one of the Counter Workers. I told them that I was from Michigan and that I would eat whatever they recommended (as far as one of their specialty sandwiches ?...). The sandwich was EPIC! I loved it...

Service wise, there was some confusion... After taking my plate (back) to the counter I asked if I was supposed to clear our table (of 7) the young lady at the counter took my plate,but told me no... That they would clean the table... Well... (As we were having a short meeting in the establishment...) I began to clear a few other plates that my party was clearing as they finished their lunches (and took them to the counter...) because no one ever came to clear the dishes away...

No big deal though (because I am,both, home AND restaurant trained...). But (as an HR Director from Detroit...) I observed a lot of standing around... Perhaps there were too many people on staff that day... Just my 2 cents... ✌?

First time here. Read good reviews. Chicken tortilla soup was delicious! Staff was friendly. Sandwich was not “bad tasting”, but something I could very well make at home. ? very disappointing. Just two pieces of seeded soft bread, not toasted or buttered or anything like that…with avocado, carrots and cheese. Typically I like vegetarian sandwiches. But this one…? was not it. So sad. Also, the place smelled like sewer. ? a bit off putting. Just being honest. Staff were friendly tho!!

Delightful deli. The baked goods are amazing. The spinach chicken salad sandwich and potato salad were some of the best I ever had.

Staff are helpful and friendly. Highly recommend stopping by if you get the chance.

I was recommended to come and check out this place. I finally made my way there and excited to try it out. While waiting in line, the gentleman in front of me made a lot of changes, and the waitress seemed understanding and nice about it. When it was my turn to order, I felt rushed, I asked to change chips to pasta salad, and the cashier rolled her eyes. It was frustrating that she seemed nice 5 mins ago, but now I was a burden to change my mind. Keep in mind that I still haven't paid. My co-worker made his order, and he felt the same energy from the cashier. It was our first time there, so we were still unsure what we wanted. Why the attitude. The food was worth the attitude for today, we will uber eats or call in our order, so we dont have to deal with that type of service. After all that, my sandwich was amazing. The pasta didn't have much flavor, so I should have just stayed with the chips.

Omg the food is impeccable as always that is a given!! But what makes this place phenomenal is the people Stephen J has a smile that lights up the room, and he is extremely knowledgeable about the menu ,and full of amazing recommendations! And Caesar makes the most delicious food I have ever had the pleasure to eat! I can’t say enough good things about this landmark deli! Keep up the great work!! Great sandwiches, cookies are awesome, ambiance is cool and staff is always friendly. Great spot for a break and tasty food. Try the Ranger cookie and the fried bologna sandwich.

Rating Change Update Still a great spot, we’ve been back often. Today we had a delicious pumpkin cream cheese cookie. But I did drop my score by one star today because I noticed the same thing each time I’ve gone back; how sticky their tables are. I just deal with it each time, but today I realized, this happens all the time and it’s the worst feeling. These tables have been bussed, wiped down, and “cleaned”, but they’re still gross and sticky/tacky to the touch. This goes for not only downstairs but upstairs as well. I hope this changes, it’ll be a more enjoyable experience for patrons. Thank you!
